Biological Treatment Process

The biological treatment is the process to remove suspended solids by means of microorganism such as bacteria. These microorganisms help to break down organic pollutants, which creates a flocculation effect allowing the organic matter to settle out of the solution. Under aerobic conditions, these microorganisms require oxygen to decompose organic pollutants in the wastewater.

The bacteria in the wastewater will convert dissolved materials into CO2, nitrogen and active sludge. The surplus active sludge will have to be discharged or treated.

We offer several possibilities for biological treatment of wastewater as below.

  • – FBR (Flotatae Bio Reactor)
  • – SBR (Sequence Batch Reactor)
  • – MBR (Membrane Bio Reactor)
